Cuba releases photographs of former leader Fidel Castro by ITN News
THUNDER BAY – Over recent months, rumours that Fidel Castro was in gravely ill health, or had died have circulated. Cuba has now released images of Fidel Castro taken at the end of January.

The images published in Granma, the official news source of the Cuban Communist Party show the former President of Cuba talking with students.

Social media in recent months has been flooded with speculation that Fidel Castro had died.

Those rumours now appear to have been put to rest for now.

In the article in Granma, Fidel Castro appears to be supportive of the moves by his brother Raoul in opening relations with the United States.
