THUNDER BAY – A strike by specialized transit workers has been extended to Wednesday as talks continue between the city and the union. The strike would impact the special services drivers, but Thunder Bay Transit drivers have also said that they would honour the picket line, therefore impacting regular transit.

Talks are ongoing between the city and the Amalgamated Transit Union, seeking to avert strike action.

The Lift+Specialized Transit Operators are seeking a new contract with the city.
