THUNDER BAY – CRIME NEWS – On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, Thunder Bay Police attended a call to the area behind Robin’s Donuts located at 300 South May Street just before 10:00PM to check on report of an unconscious person in the laneway.

When uniformed officers arrived, they observed EMS paramedics were already tending to an unconscious male in the laneway. It was apparent that he had been assaulted.

The victim was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for medical attention. The individual has since been released from the hospital.

Detectives with Criminal Investigation Unit would like to speak to the individual who called 911 from the pay phone in Robin’s Donuts to report this incident at approximately 9:37PM.

If you are the individuals who made this call, please contact Detective Shawn Harrison at 628-2285. An anonymous call to Crime Stoppers may also be place at 1-800-222-TIPS. Any information about this assault may help the detectives determine who is responsible.

The past twenty-four hours were busy for officers.
