THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Queens will be well represented at the CAN/AM Cup tournament in Madison, Wis., this weekend as three of the five clubs in the organization will be there taking part.

Heading to the Wisconsin capital will be the Norcan Tours & Travel midget A, the First Class Gas bantam AA and the Triad Contracting peewee Queens, who will all be vying for titles in their respective divisions.

A pair of games awaits the midget A side Friday as they take on Milwaukee Jr. Admirals at 3 p.m. followed by a 9:30 p.m. encounter with Team Illinois.

They also play twice Saturday as well when they meet Madison Capitols at 11 a.m. and the Chicago Fury at 7 p.m.

As for the FSG bantam AA Queens, they will be going in search of their fourth consecutive tournament crown.

Game action for them gets underway noon Friday vs. Chicago with Milwaukee serving as their opponent at 4:30 p.m. later in the day.

Two more tilts are on tap Saturday starting with Team Illinois at 10:30 a.m. before wrapping up against Madison at 4:30 p.m.

Meanwhile the peewee Queens open up vs. the Jr. Admirals Friday at 1:30 p.m.

Their second match-up of the day will have them meet Edina Green of suburban Minneapolis at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s lone game for the peewees will have them square off against the St. Louis Lady Blues at 3 p.m.

Final games on Sunday await each of the three Queens’ teams with opponents being based on how the make out in round robin competition.
