Remember your rain coat Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – Monday is forecast to be wet. Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Thunder Bay. 

The weather service says, “A developing low over Nebraska this afternoon will track towards Northwestern Ontario overnight. Showers and embedded thunderstorms will begin overnight near the Minnesota border, then spread to the north and east Monday morning.

The bulk of the rain will fall Monday and Monday evening according to Environment Canada.

Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm are likely with locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

FAS Pow Wow Scheduled For Monday

There is a ‘Mini Pow Wow’ scheduled for the Spirit Garden at the Prince Arthur’s Landing in Thunder Bay. It is know known this evening if the event will end up moved indoors to Anishnawbe Mushkiki.

The Anishnawbe Mushkiki Healthy Beginnings FAS/FAE Program is hosting this annual event is held in recognition of FAS/FAE Day on September 9.

The Host Drum is Nibisinii Water Rock Drum with Jeff Neekan, Talon Sutherland-Neekan, Craig Moonias, and Jake Achneepineskum.

  • 10 am – Opening Prayer and Welcoming Remarks – Gerry Martin
  • 10:30 – Mini Pow Wow
  • 12:00 -Lunch
  • 1:00 – Mini Pow wow continues
  • 3:00 – Giveaway
