The Youth Are Building Youth Centres Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY – This past Saturday, August 17th, 2013 the Youth Centres Thunder Bay team hosted a very successful car wash aimed at raising funds for the new youth centre located at 711 Victoria Avenue within the Victoriaville Shopping Centre.

The weather was ideal for the car wash and team of 10 youth and 3 adults helped put a shine to community member’s rides all day long. The day began early and structured; cars pulled up, got rinsed off, then scrubbed down, followed by the details and a good rinse. The day ended with the youth and some patient costumers getting more of a cleaning than the vehicles. All in all it was fun and monies were raised for the youth centre.

Thank You Thunder Bay

A big ‘Thank-You’ goes out to all the youth that volunteered their Saturday to assist with the car wash. Another ‘Thank-You’ must go to the team at Breeny’s Auto-Body for their support and use of location for the event. Finally a huge ‘Thank-You’ to the community of Thunder Bay who supported the youth centre by getting their car washed. Through that support you have shown that youth are important to this community.

Youth Centre Bottle Drive

The next fundraising event for YCTB will be a bottle drive – save you empties from the long weekend and a team from the youth centre will pick them up on the evening of Monday, September 2nd between 6:30pm and 8:30pm; for more details call the youth centre at 286 4544.
