Highway to Sleeping Giant Open

The road popular with thousands of Thunder Bay and Ontario tourists to the ‘toe’ of the world famous Sleeping Giant and Silver Islet is open again.

Drivers will encounter single lane restrictions controlled by flagging operations. We ask for drivers’ patience as we continue to work and remind them to obey the speed limit and flag persons through construction zones–for the safety of both workers and drivers.

For the latest info, the public can call 511, MTO’s Road Information Line to find out about current highway closures.
