Sioux Lookout announces new HR Administrator
“I am pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Melissa Fortin as the Municipality’s Human Resources Administrator, effective March 18, 2013,” stated the Municipality’s Chief Administrative Officer, Ann Mitchell, adding, “Ms. Fortin brings both professional experience and a solid educational background in the HR field, and will be a valuable addition to the Municipality’s team.”
“The Municipality is very fortunate to have a competent, skilled and dedicated workforce and ensuring the ongoing harmonious relations among all of our employees and providing support and advice on personnel matters is key to our continued success,” noted Mitchell, adding, “Melissa will be a valuable asset in this regard.”
The Human Resources Administrator serves as a liaison between management and frontline staff.
She is responsible for a wide range of services, including staff recruitment and retention, benefits administration, Health and Safety compliance, organizational development, payroll supervision, as well as providing support and advice on personnel management matters to all Departments.
