Thunder Bay North Stars Take Another Step toward the Dudley Hewitt Cup

NorthstarsTHUNDER BAY – Sweep! The Thunder Bay North Stars have swept the Duluth Clydesdales in four straight games. The North Stars are now resting up. The team and their growing legion of fans now have to wait until the end of this weekend to learn who they will face in the next round. The next challenge will be either the Wisconsin Wilderness or the Fort Frances Lakers.

Thunder Bay will be host to the Dudley Hewitt Cup this April. The tournament is comprised of the winners of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL), the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) and the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), together with the host team. The winner of the “Dudley” goes on to compete in the National Junior A Championship known as the Royal Bank Cup.

In crushing the Duluth Clydedales the Thunder Bay North Stars have taken yet another step forward toward the championship.
