Slippery Streets and Sidewalks the Rule today as Snow fall continues

Thunder Bay PoliceTHUNDER BAY – Updated – Sidewalks and streets in Thunder Bay are starting to get really slippery today with the warmer temperatures and snow falling this morning. Earlier today on Junot Avenue South, an elderly lady apparently slipped on the sidewalk and was unconsious. Thunder Bay EMS along with the Fire Department and Thunder Bay Police responded.

The woman has been taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Thunder Bay Transit advises, “Snow routes are now in affect. Only route affected is #3 County Park. 3 stops in Superiorview will be missed until regular route resumes”.

City crews have been working to take care of major arteries in the city, side streets are going to be snowy and likely slippery.
