Crimebeat – Thunder Bay Police Investigating another Mac’s Robbery

MacsTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – Thunder Bay Police advise that twenty-seven year old Ashley Marie Collins remains in custody after being arrested for the Robbery at Mets Variety on the evening of January 19, 2012. Collins has been charged with Robbery and Breach of a Court Order for the incident. The arrest also leads to three unrelated charges of possession of stolen property, and the execution of existing warrants for nine outstanding charges”.

Police are investigating a robbery which occurred at 3:56AM at the Mac’s Convenience Store located at 640 S Waterloo St. A lone male entered the store brandishing a large knife. The Male fled the scene with minimal merchandise. The Investigation is continuing.

Thunder Bay Police are currently investigating an assault which occurred on the 100 block of South Court Street on January, 20, 2012 at around 3:00 p.m.

Two native Canadian Males entered as apartment where a knife and hammer were produced. One male was struck several times in the head and a second male was assaulted and threatened with a knife.

One victim was transported to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center with head and facial injuries. He was treated and released. The second male was not injured. Police have identified one of the accused male and have issued an arrest warrant for assault with a weapon. The second accused in still unidentified to date, investigation is continuing.
