The air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene, and will land about twenty minutes before Police will be able to arrive on the scene, that means that the highway can not be closed by authorities, and the helicopter will have to find an alternative place to land. (15:52EST)

The latest road reports have put highway conditions as bare and dry, however the forecast has called for snow in the area today, and temperatures at minus ten celcius.

It is likely that travellers on Highway 17 East and West may be delayed if road closures are put in effect for EMS and OPP for investigation of the accident.
