NIPIGON – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued a Special Weather Statement for the Nipigon – Rossport and Marathon – Schreiber regions. The weather service states that starting early on Thursday and going through until Friday there will be as much as thirty centimetres of snow.

- Nipigon – Rossport
Significant snowfall Thursday into Friday.
A significant snowfall is expected to begin near Lake Superior early Thursday morning and spread northeastward towards James Bay throughout the day. The latest analysis suggests snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm are possible by the time the snow ends on Friday.
