Highway 11 Traffic Stop Nets $278,450 in Suspected Drugs; Two Charged

OPP Greenstone officers seize fentanyl, cocaine, meth, and prescription opioids destined for multiple Northwestern Ontario communities

GREENSTONE – REGIONAL NEWS – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachmenthave arrested two individuals and laid multiple Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) charges following a traffic stop on Highway 11.

On September 16, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., officers conducted a stop when they detected a strong odourcoming from the vehicle. A subsequent search led to the seizure of large quantities of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, hydromorphone, and morphine. Police estimate the combined street value at approximately $278,450 and believe the drugs were destined for several rural communities across Northwestern Ontario.


Accused and Charges

Kaden HAMILTON, 21, of Toronto, is charged with the following CDSA offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Cocaine

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Methamphetamine

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Oxycontin

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Fentanyl

  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Dilaudid

  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Kadian 24H capsule 100 mg

Court date: October 24, 2025, Ontario Court of Justice, Thunder Bay.


Noha KONGOLO, 20, of East York, is charged with the following CDSA offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Cocaine

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Methamphetamine

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Oxycontin

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Fentanyl

  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Dilaudid

  • Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking — Kadian 24H capsule 100 mg

Court date: October 15, 2025, Ontario Court of Justice, Thunder Bay.

The Greenstone Community Street Crime Unit is continuing the investigation with assistance from the Thunder Bay Police Service Cybercrime Unit and the OPP Digital Forensic Unit.

The accused are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
