THUNDER BAY – News – Developing … Thunder Bay Police and Superior EMS responded to a call on Nugent Street late on Saturday night.

A male had been assaulted near the tent city at McVicars Creek. He was taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences. He was able after the assault to be up and walking around.

Police responded and one unit followed the EMS to hospital. The man’s condition is unknown.

Police are receiving increased number of calls to the northside homeless encampments.
