Mehdi Mohammadi is a coach and national team manager representing Iran in Muay Thai and MMA, with extensive experience in coaching, athlete development, technical management, and participation in international competitions.
Throughout his professional career, Mohammadi has served in coaching and managerial roles with Iranian national teams at international combat sports events. His professional activities have also included athlete development, technical planning, and educational programs.
Mehdi Mohammadi was born on September 10, 1980, in Qom, Iran. A significant part of his professional career has been dedicated to Muay Thai. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a specialization in Media and has also worked in educational, technical, managerial, and executive fields alongside his sporting career.
From Gymnastics and Boxing to Muay Thai
Mohammadi’s sporting journey began during childhood with gymnastics. As a teenager, he entered boxing and gained his first experience in combat sports.
In the following years, his focus gradually shifted toward Muay Thai, which eventually became the central discipline of his professional coaching career.
During his development, Mohammadi had the opportunity to train and gain experience under Paramajan MohammadAgha Tohidi, one of the influential figures in the development of Muay Thai in Iran.
He later continued his professional career under Arjan Jalal Motamedi, a multiple-time world champion and national team head coach. Their professional relationship subsequently developed beyond that of student and coach, withMohammadi also working alongside him as an assistant in technical and educational activities.
Coaching and National Team Management
As his coaching experience expanded, Mohammadi took on technical and managerial responsibilities at the national level within Iranian combat sports.
His professional activities have included coaching and managing Iranian national teams, technical and educational work in Muay Thai, athlete development, and participation in the planning and implementation of sporting programs at national and international levels.
In recent years, his responsibilities have also expanded into MMA, where he has served as the manager of the Iranian national team at an international competition.

Meeting with Justin Brown in Novi Sad
During the Amateur MMA Championships held under the supervision of United World Wrestling (UWW) in Novi Sad, Serbia, Mehdi Mohammadi took part in the official activities surrounding the event during the days leading up to the competition.
On the sidelines of the event, Mohammadi met with Justin Brown, a figure active in the UWW Pancration and Grappling structure and President of Amateur Pancration MMA in the United States.
The meeting took place one day before the start of the competition, on weigh-in day. The discussion focused on topics related to the development of MMA, the conditions and opportunities available to athletes, and the future development ofthe discipline in different countries.
The meeting was part of the professional interactions taking place during international combat sports events and provided an opportunity for the exchange of views and experience among professionals in the field.
Technical, Educational, and Executive Activities
Alongside his responsibilities with national teams, Mohammadi has remained active in the technical and educational development of Muay Thai in Iran.
His professional background includes work with Muay Thai education committees, participation in the technical management of national teams, coaching and athlete development, as well as involvement in the organization and implementation of sporting events.
His activities have extended beyond coaching to include team management, technical planning, athlete preparation, educational programs, and coordination within national and international competitive environments.

Today, Mehdi Mohammadi’s professional activities include coaching and managing Iranian national teams in Muay Thai,as well as continued work in athlete development and technical education.
