Crews respond to fire in attached garage
Firefighters were called just after 4:30 p.m. on June 24 following multiple reports of a structure fire in the 2000 block of Rosslyn Road.
The first arriving pumper confirmed an active fire involving the attached garage of the home. Firefighters began an aggressive interior attack and were able to stop the flames from extending into the main living space.
The garage sustained significant fire damage. Damage to the rest of the residence was limited because of the quick response and actions of fire crews.
Occupants escape safely
All occupants had evacuated the home before firefighters arrived on scene. There were no reported injuries to residents or emergency responders.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Rosslyn Road closed during emergency response
Rosslyn Road was closed for approximately two hours while crews extinguished the fire and secured the scene.
