THUNDER BAY – June 7, 2025 – Thunder Bay Fire Rescue crews were called to the scene of a structure fire in the early hours of Saturday morning, responding just after 3:00 a.m. to a residential property on Limbrick Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters were met with visible smoke coming from the home. Crews swiftly launched an aggressive interior attack and search operation, navigating the smoke-filled structure. One occupant was located inside and safely rescued by fire crews.
The individual was assessed and treated on-site by Superior North EMS paramedics, with assistance from Thunder Bay Fire Rescue personnel, before being transported to hospital for further medical care. No details on the severity of the injuries have been released at this time.
Thanks to the quick and coordinated response of all fire crews involved, damage from the blaze was contained to the area of origin, and no additional injuries were reported.
