Investigation Ongoing as Victim Recovers from Serious Injuries

THUNDER BAY – A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault following an early morning incident on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in the 400 block of Ray Boulevard.

Incident Details

Thunder Bay Police Service officers from the Primary Response Branch were dispatched shortly after 4 a.m. after receiving reports of an assault. Upon arrival, they located an injured male who was transported to hospital by paramedics. The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation and Arrest

The Major Crimes Unit and Forensic Identification Unit have taken over the investigation. A male suspect, Anthony Morris, 19, was arrested in connection with the assault.

Morris appeared in court later that day and has been remanded into custody pending a future court appearance.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the assault.
