The PGA TOUR Ameeicas comes to the beautiful Mactaquac Golf Course in Fredericton, New Brunswick, for the much-anticipated Explore NB Open. As the third event in the North America Swing and the ninth of the 2024 PGA TOUR Americas season, we have an exciting week ahead.

  • Frederik Kjettrup (Denmark): Leading the Fortinet Cup, Frederik seeks his third consecutive victory, which would secure him a promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour.
  • Matthew Anderson (Canada): Holding the No. 2 spot, Matthew aims to reclaim his lead in the Fortinet Cup after a strong performance in the Latin America Swing.
  • Mateo Fernández de Oliveira (Argentina): Currently in the top 10, Mateo’s consistent top-10 finishes make him a formidable contender.
  • Tommy Cocha (Argentina): With four PGA TOUR Latinoamérica wins, Tommy is coming off a strong runner-up finish at the ATB Classic.
  • Josh Landine (Canada): A local favorite, Josh earned his spot through Monday Qualifying and is looking to make a mark.
  • Eric Banks (Canada): Making his PGA TOUR Americas debut, Eric is one to watch with his recent conditional status win at the British Columbia Q-School.
  • John Keefer (United States): A top 25 finish in the PGA TOUR University Ranking, John has been consistently strong with top-five finishes.
  • Willy Pumarol (Dominican Republic): The sole Latin player to secure exempt membership through Q-School, Willy aims to improve his best finish of 11th at the ATB Classic.

About the Explore NB Open

This tournament is a historic first for New Brunswick on the PGA TOUR Americas circuit. Thanks to Tourism New Brunswick, this event highlights the province’s rich maritime heritage. Notably, New Brunswick is Canada’s only official bilingual province, adding a unique cultural flair to the competition.

Fortinet Cup Overview

The Explore NB Open is a pivotal event, being the third of the North America Swing and the ninth of the season. With 500 Fortinet Cup points at stake, top players are vying for a spot in the season-ending Fortinet Cup Championship. The top 10 players in the Fortinet Cup standings will earn exempt membership into the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour.
