THUNDER BAY – LIVING – The cruise ship Viking Octantis is scheduled to arrive at The Pool 6 Cruise Dock between 7 and 8 PM on June 4th, overnighting at the dock and departing at 6 PM June 5th.

Paul Pepe, Manager of Tourism shares, “Member organizations of the Cruise Port Thunder Bay collective are ready to welcome them! Come on down to Prince Arthur’s Landing around 6 PM to watch it arrive into the harbour. Wouldn’t it be great for our visitors to see a welcoming party ashore of local residents waving at them?”

This year there will be 16 vessel calls to Thunder Bay including five turnarounds. July 19th is a day to mark in your calandars for ship watchers as both the Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris are in port at the same time.

Guests from four ships representing three cruise lines will be exploring Fort William Historical Park, Kakabeka Falls, the Thunder Bay Art Gallery and the Thunder Bay Museum as well as other offerings like the Waterfront District.
