Impaired Driving Incident Leads to Arrest

SIOUX LOOKOUT – NEWS – The Sioux Lookout Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) apprehended an individual for impaired driving. On November 15, 2023, around 7:00 pm, the OPP received a traffic complaint about a suspected impaired driver. The vehicle was intercepted on November 16, 2023, at approximately 4:34 am on Highway 664 in Sioux Lookout.

Charges and Court Appearance

Deleska MIKENAK, 25, from Sioux Lookout, faces charges for impaired operation related to alcohol and drugs, and for having a blood alcohol concentration over 80. Mikenak has been released and is due in the Ontario Court of Justice in Sioux Lookout on December 9, 2023.

OPP’s Ongoing Commitment

The OPP continues to prioritize removing impaired drivers from the roads and emphasizes the importance of public involvement in reporting suspected impaired driving incidents.
