THUNDER BAY – News – In the aftermath of a Friday night incident on the city’s north side, an 18-year-old Thunder Bay man is facing serious charges of aggravated assault and assault causing bodily harm. The Thunder Bay Police Service swiftly responded to reports of the assault, ensuring that justice is served for the victim.
Immediate Police Response
On Friday, Oct. 6, just after 11:10 p.m., officers from the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Primary Response Branch were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Bay Street. Paramedics were already on-site when the police arrived, attending to a male victim who had sustained injuries indicative of a recent assault.
Swift Apprehension of Suspects
Police promptly located a suspect at the scene and arrested him following a brief struggle. The accused, Terrell Jarome Lewis Baxter, 18, of Thunder Bay, was taken into custody and transported to the TBPS headquarters at 1200 Balmoral Street. Simultaneously, the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Major Crime Unit initiated an investigation.
Subsequent inquiries led to the identification of a second suspect, a 15-year-old male from Marten Falls First Nation, who was already in custody for breaching a release condition. The youth was informed on Tuesday, Oct. 10, that additional assault charges had been laid against him.

- Obstruct Peace Officer
The 15-year-old male from Marten Falls First Nation is charged with:
