“We are Having So Much Fun!”

Thunder Bay – The Alexander Henry is docked at Pier Six at Marina Park in Thunder Bay. The retired Coast Guard Icebreaker is a museum ship. It is being restored and cared for by the Lakehead Transportation Museum Society.

The epic icebreaker was built in Port Arthur, ON in 1959, and found its way home to Thunder Bay in 2017 thanks to dedicated volunteers and donors. They offer daily tours in the summer months, as well as unique rental space for special events and meetings.

NetNewsLedger caught up to Charlie Brown who is inviting Thunder Bay down to the Alexander Henry, especially this weekend with the Viking Octantis and Ocean Navigator arriving at Pier Six starting at about 6:00 PM Friday for the 660 foot long Viking Cruise Ship.

NetNewsLedger had along seven-year-old Nation who took these images of the Alexander Henry and we thought having the inquisitive eye of a young man would be well worth sharing.

There are lots of stairways on the Alexander Henry – wear good shoes.

If you are looking for a solid and fun experience along with learning too, go tour the Alexander Henry.

I was repeatedly told by Nation, “We are having so much fun”.
