Heat Warning Issued for Fort Frances

FORT FRANCES – WEATHER – Environment Canada has issued a Heat Warning for Fort Frances. A two-day heat event is expected Thursday and Friday.

Maximum temperatures are expected to reach the low thirties on Thursday and Friday with overnight minimums in the high teens, bringing little relief from the heat.

Heat Warning in effect for:

  • Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
  • Seine River Village – Mine Centre

Humidex values are expected to be in the low to mid thirties on Thursday and Friday.

The heat event is expected to come to an end on Saturday with the arrival of cooler air.
