THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – It is a cool start to the day in Thunder Bay, the temperature is right at the freezing mark.

Along Memorial Avenue this morning a litre of gasoline is $2.06 plus. That figure considering that a year ago, a litre of regular gasoline was $1.27 in the city, might warm you up.

Weather-wise there is a frost advisory out for Terrace Bay. Other than that there are no weather warnings or advisories in effect.

Thunder Bay

It is at the freezing mark of 0 in Thunder Bay as we head to a daytime high of 20 for Tuesday under mainly sunny skies.

Winds will become southwest at 20 gusting to 40 km/h near noon.

The UV Index will be 7 or high.

This evening will see winds becoming light, and a low overnight of 4.

Fort Frances

It is +8 this morning in Fort Frances. The high will be 21 for Tuesday. Skies will be clear this morning however there is a 30 per cent potential for precipitation this afternoon. Winds will become southwest at 20 gusting to 40 km/h this morning.

The UV index will be 7 or high.

This evening, there will be a 30 per cent possibility of rain showers. The overnight low will be +6.

Dryden and Vermilion Bay

It is +9 to start your morning in Dryden. Today’s high will be 20 under a mix of sun and cloud. There is a 30 per cent potential for rain showers early this morning and again late this afternoon. Winds will become southwest at 20 gusting to 40 km/h this morning.

The UV Index will be 7 or high.

Skies will be partly cloudy tonight, with a 30 per cent potential for precipitation. Winds will diminish to light by later this evening. The low overnight will be 6.

Marten Falls

It is +7 in Marten Falls this morning. The high for the day will be 19.

Clouds will be increasing this morning, until by this afternoon there will be a 70 per cent chance of rain showers along with the risk of a thunderstorm.

Winds will be from the west at 30 gusting to 60 km/h before slacking off near noon.

The UV index will be 5 or moderate.

This evening, we are calling for a 70 per cent possibility of rain showers. There will be a risk of a thunderstorm early this evening. Skies should clear overnight. The low ill be +1.
