THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – There are no weather alerts or warnings in effect this morning.

There remain flood warnings, not so much from rain happening today, but as the massive amounts of water continue to flow downstream.

Thunder Bay

Skies are mainly clear this morning in Thunder Bay. Our weather image this morning shows a single cloud over the Sleeping Giant.

There will however be increasing cloudiness today. Winds will become westerly at 20 km/h gusting to 60 this morning. The high for the day will climb from the +6 this morning to 18.

The UV Index will be 5 or moderate.

Tonight will see skies cloud over, with a 30 per cent possibility of rain overnight. Winds will continue from the west at 20 km/h before becoming light early this evening. The low overnight will be 6.

Fort Frances

It is +8 heading to a Sunday high of 17. Skies will be a mix of sun and cloud with a 40 per cent possibility of rainfall. Winds will be from the west at 30 km/h gusting to 60 km/h this morning.

The UV Index will be 7 or high.

For Sunday evening it will be cloudy with a 40 per cent chance of rain. Winds will be from the northwest at 30 km/h gusting to 60. The low overnight will be 4.

Dryden and Vermilion Bay

It is 6 in Dryden this morning. Skies are cloudy with a 40 per cent possibility of rain. Winds will be from the west at 30 km/h gusting to 50. The high for Sunday will be 12.

The UV index will be 4 or moderate.

Tonight will see continued clouds, along with a 40 per cent potential for precipitation. Winds will remain from the west at 20 gusting to 40 km/h. Low overnight of +1.

Sachigo Lake

It is +4 in Sachigo Lake this morning. Skies are cloudy with a 30 per cent possibility of precipitation. That will change to a 70 per cent chance of rain later this morning. Winds will be from the west at 20 km/h. High for the day will be +8.

For tonight, expect rain. There is a 70 per cent chance of showers that will likely change to snow flurries overnight. Winds will be from the northwest at 20 gusting to 40 km/h with a low of zero.
