Thunder Bay – LIVING – Lakehead is once again holding a virtual open house – meaning you can learn about the university’s programs and campuses in Thunder Bay and Orillia from the comfort of your home.

The Lakehead Experience Virtual Open House will be held on Saturday, October 16 from 10 am to 2 pm (EST).

“The Lakehead Experience Virtual Open House will provide an exceptional opportunity to connect virtually with over 110 faculty and staff members, who will answer your questions about anything relating to our 65+ academic programs, admission requirements and the admissions process, scholarship and bursary opportunities, student supports and more,” said Lynn Hurrell, Director, Undergraduate Recruitment.

Participants will explore 21 booths showcasing Lakehead’s academic programs, support services and student life. A virtual backpack will allow visitors to pick up brochures and videos, while the live chat will connect visitors instantly with their future faculty members, professors, and student services in both Thunder Bay and Orillia campus locations.

“Students will become familiar with how our degree programs, smaller class sizes, hands-on learning opportunities, and high career employment rates make a degree from Lakehead University extraordinarily valuable,” Hurrell said.

“At Lakehead, our faculty members know you by name and care about your academic growth and success. By connecting with them now – before you become a Lakehead student – you can begin having important conversations that will help you personalize and shape your academic journey,” she added.

You can learn more about becoming a future Lakehead University student by registering for the Virtual Open House at lakeheadu.ca/openhouse.
