Thunder Bay District Health Unit Reports Nine New Cases of COVID-19

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 – The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) has reporting nine new COVID-19 cases in residents in the TBDHU Region.

The total number of current active cases is 112.

There are now three people in the hospital and two patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

Southbridge Roseview Outbreak Declared Over

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) and Southbridge Care Homes announce that the outbreak at Southbridge Roseview Long-Term Care Home in Thunder Bay is now over.

Measures remain in place at Southbridge Roseview to reduce likelihood of transmission of the virus within the facility, including expanded precautions that were implemented during the outbreak.

TBDHU recognizes the significant impact that this outbreak had on Roseview residents, their families, and the staff, and offers condolences to those who lost a loved one due to COVID-19. TBDHU further recognizes the hard work and dedication of the Roseview health care workers, staff, and essential care providers throughout this challenging time.
