KENORA – WEATHER – The weather system tracking eastward has made a move into Western Ontario.

Environment Canada says a band of snow is expected to move over Northwestern Ontario this morning from Eastern Manitoba and Northern Minnesota. The snow may be briefly mixed with ice pellets and freezing rain, especially near the Manitoba Border.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson
  • Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
  • Red Lake – Woodland Caribou Park

Snow amounts of 4 to 8 cm appear likely across the region by this evening.
