Thunder Bay – WEATHER – Update – The weather alert for the City of Thunder Bay has ended.

Simply put, stay put! The temperature is falling, roads and sidewalks are icy and in many cases snow is blowing hard.

Environment Canada says that the snowfall will continue tonight with another 10-20 centimetres of snow to come.

Through the day as people worked to clear their walkways and driveways the wet and heavy snow made the task difficult. For seniors in your neighbourhood, now is a great time for those with snowblowers to be great neighbours, if you catch “our drift”.

Significant snowfall continues tonight.

Snow will be heavy at times tonight.

Brisk northerly winds gusting 50 to 60 km/h today will result in localized blowing snow over exposed areas.
