All Library Locations will be Closed December 24 to January 11, Inclusive
No Contact Holds Pick Up & Returns will Resume on Tuesday, January 12, 2021

Thunder Bay – COVID-19 – The Thunder Bay Public Library has made the decision to close all Public Libraries effective Wednesday, December 23 at 4:30 pm.  Libraries will remain closed until Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

This decision is being made due to the announcement of the province wide shut down.  The Library has been taking a deliberately slow and safe approach to offering library service to the community for the safety of staff and the public.
On January 12, 2021, (if there is no extension to the Northern lock down) all library locations will re-open for no contact holds pick up at our main entrances (curbside service).  Curbside service will be offered until January 22,  unless further restrictions are announced by the Province or the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
Starting January 12, 2021, hours of operation at all library locations will be Monday through Friday from 10 am – 4 pm. We will be offering no contact holds pick up, returns, and  free, no contact faxing, scanning and photocopying at all four entrances as well as battery recycling drop off.  Return boxes will remain open during the Library closure.
