Thunder Bay Weather

It is -9°C this morning at 06:30 am. There is light snow falling in Thunder Bay. Those oeriods of snow will end late this morning and then mainly cloudy conditions with a 60 percent chance of flurries. Snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 cm. Winds becoming southwest 20 km/h early this afternoon. High -2°C. Wind chill -12°C this morning and -6°C this afternoon.

Neskantaga Weather

The temperature is -22°C in the community this morning.

In Neskantaga, where the testing of the water plant is ongoing in what has seemed an endless saga of the water problems, the community members remain evacuated to Thunder Bay. Back home skies are cloudy with a 40 percent chance of flurries. Winds will become south 20 km/h this afternoon. Today’s high is forecast for -11°C. However the wind chill will make it feel more like -34°C this morning and -20°C this afternoon. This means there is a risk of frostbite.

Tonight skies will remain cloudy. There is a 40 percent chance of flurries this evening. The weather service forecasts that periods of light snow will start near midnight. Wind south 20 km/h becoming light early this evening. Temperature rising to -8°C by morning. The wind chill will be -20°C this evening and -14°C overnight.

Kenora and Lake of the Woods Weather

It is -10 in Kenora this morning. The forecast is calling for periods of snow with amounts up to 2 cm. Wind south 20 km/h gusting to 40. High -5. Wind chill -19 this morning and -12 this afternoon.

Tonight there will be periods of light snow. There is a risk of freezing drizzle overnight. Winds south 20 km/h becoming light late this evening. The temperature will be steady near -6. Wind chill near -13.
