OPP Seize Cocaine and Ecstacy in Red Lake Traffic Stop – Man Charged

RED LAKE – On September 15, 2020, officers from the Red Lake/Ear Falls detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and detachment conducted a traffic stop on Highway 105 in the Township of Ear Falls as a result of an ongoing investigation.

During a stop, police seized a quantity of cocaine and ecstasy.

James MCKEE, 24 of Balmertown, is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Ecstasy contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code

He was released to appear in Red Lake court on October 15, 2020, at 9:00 am to answer to the charges.

None of the charges have been proven in court.
