THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service officers have arrested and charged a 49-year-old Thunder Bay man following an investigation into the accessing and sharing of child pornography.

Officers with the Cyber Crimes Unit began an investigation on May 27, 2020, after being made aware a local Internet user was suspected of having uploaded files containing child pornography. Investigators reviewed the files being shared and determined they were consistent with child pornography. He appeared in bail court on Thursday, July 30, 2020, and was released with a future appearance date of Tuesday, Oct. 13.
