Sioux Lookout – Active Case of COVID-19 Reported by NWHU

SIOUX LOOKOUT – There is now one confirmed case of COVID-19 according to the  Northwestern Health Unit. The case, the only active case in the district was reported on Saturday.

This case is the only confirmed case of COVID-19 recorded by the health unit since April 22, 2020.

There are not, right now a lot of details on this case. The Northwest Health Unit is contacting people who may have been in contact with the person confirmed with COVID-19.

Consistent with all infectious disease follow-up that Northwestern Health Unit (NWHU) does, the names of individuals who test positive for COVID-19 will not be released to the public. As per protocols, anyone who is considered to be at an increased risk due to contact with a positive COVID-19 case is contacted by NWHU.
