THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay curling fans have waited for a quarter-century for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts to return to the Lakehead.

That wait will be over in just over 12 months, as the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts is scheduled for Feb. 20-28 at the Fort Williams Gardens.

So, considering the pent-up demand to see Canada’s best women’s curling teams under one roof in Thunder Bay, and considering it will be a landmark Scotties — it will be the 40th edition of the Tournament of Hearts — you can expect ticket demand to be off the charts when full event packages go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. ET.

Here’s a look at what will be available:

  • Regular Full Event Package ($395)
  • Premium Full Event Package ($429); A limited number of premium home end seats are available.

Ticket packages will be available online at curling.ca/tickets, in person at the Fort William Gardens box office, and by phone at 807-625-2929. All ticket packages are subject to standard facility and ticket service fees.

Packages for the opening and closing weekends will go on sale in the fall.

The 2021 Scotties won’t be just about world-class curling; there will also be world-class good times to be held at the legendary HeartStop Lounge, located at the adjacent Fort William Curling Club — fans won’t have to leave the building in order to have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the athletes, enjoy live music, dancing, drinks and food, as well as interactive activities for the entire family.

Volunteer information will be communicated in the weeks following the 2020 Scotties. You can receive updates by registering at curling.ca/volunteer.
