Police Respond to Serious Assault in Southside

Charges laid following fight at Landmark Inn

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched to a reported assault that took place at a residence in the 200 block of May Street North at about 4:30 pm Saturday, December 14, 2019.

When officers arrived they learned an adult male had been the victim of an assault. As a result of the ongoing investigation, police located and arrested two male suspects near the scene.

The victim was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for treatment of their injuries. The nature of the victim’s injuries is not known at this time, but does not appear life-threatening.

The victim and accused males were known to each other.

This investigation is now being handled by members of the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit.

The accused males remain in police custody. No further details are available at this time.
