THUNDER BAY – A sure sign of winter, and of Christmas fun, the waterfront skating rink at Prince Arthur’s Landing is now officially open for the season.

Residents and visitors of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come to the waterfront to enjoy the rink and the many other winter activities and amenities available this season.

“The skating rink is now open for all to enjoy,” said Carlee Hakenson, Events & Waterfront Services Developer. “I encourage the community to come down to Prince Arthur’s Landing with their families and friends for fun-filled days on the waterfront this winter season!”

The Skating Rink and Water Garden Pavilion are open daily from 11 am to 9 pm.

Along with the popular skating rink, there are many other activities to participate in at the waterfront this winter.

Visit Prince Arthur’s Landing to enjoy the scenic trails; programs at the Baggage Building Arts Centre; Winter FunDay activities every Sunday from December 22 to March 8, and the City’s signature Family Day event, SnowDay on the Waterfront. SnowDay will take place over two days this year on Sunday, February 16 and Monday, February 17, 2020.
