THUNDER BAY – October 31st marked the end of the 2019 Forest Fire Season. If you’re planning on burning outside the fire season, make sure you consult the Forest Fires Prevention Act of Ontario. People living in municipalities must also check with their local municipal office or fire officials for other burning restrictions or bylaws on outdoor fires.

Northwest Region

There were no new forest fires confirmed by the afternoon of October 31.

There are no active forest fires in the Northwest Region.

The forest fire hazard is low across the Northwest Region.
