THUNDER BAY – WEATHER – The weather advisory has ended as of 08:00 am on Sunday, October 13, 2019.

Earlier:

Environment Canada has issued a Winter Weather Travel Advisory for Thunder Bay and the Nipigon regions, all the way east to Wawa.

Weather advisory in effect for:

  • City of Thunder Bay
  • Nipigon
  • Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
  • White River – Dubreuilville

The first heavy flurries of the season are expected tonight.

Flurries, at times heavy, will develop off Lake Superior tonight. While snowfall accumulations are not forecast to be particularly heavy due to temperatures hovering near zero, significantly reduced visibilities in snow can be expected at times. Motorists traveling along portions of Highway 17 between Thunder Bay and Wawa are advised to watch for quickly changing weather conditions and adjust their driving accordingly.
