Thunder Bay OPP Look for Construction Site Thieves

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating three separate break and enter and theft incidents that occurred at construction worksites located on Highway 527.

The OPP report that unknown suspect(s) entered seacan storage containers and have stolen numerous items.

On June 15, 2019, unknown suspect(s) entered a storage container located on Highway 527, approximately 15 kilometres north of Highway 11/17.

On August 2, 2019, unknown suspect(s) entered a storage container located on Highway 527, approximately 9 kilometres north of Highway 11/17.

Between August 2, 2019, and August 6, 2019, unknown suspect(s) entered a storage container located on Highway 527, approximately 94 kilometres north of Highway 11/17.

Numerous power and construction tools were stolen that include chainsaws, cordless drills, and toolboxes, just to name a few of the items.

The total combined value of the stolen property is approximately $20,000.
