THUNDER BAY – Splish Splash Thunder Bay gets to taking a splash!

The waterfront splash pad at Prince Arthur’s Landing officially opens tomorrow, Saturday, June 15. With the splash pad opening, the City is encouraging residents to come down to the waterfront on those hot sunny days to cool off and enjoy the many events, activities and facilities available to the public during the summer months.

“With the summer season now upon us and temperatures beginning to heat up, the splash pad is a great amenity for residents and visitors to enjoy throughout the summer”, said Carlee Hakenson, Events & Waterfront Services Developer.

The Waterfront Splash Pad and Water Garden Pavilion are open daily from 11 am to 9 pm. For more information on the splash pad, call the Water Garden Pavilion at 684-2080.

Opening dates for the City’s other splash pads located at County Park, Franklin Street, and the North End Park will be posted to the City’s website. Residents are encouraged to find the latest updates at www.thunderbay.ca/splashpads.
