Ontario Changes Bar Opening to 9:00 AM

Thunder Bay and Drinking - A northern tradition?

QUEENS PARK – Ontario Finance Minister Vic Fedeli says, “our government has eased the burden on Ontario businesses by extending the hours of alcohol service at licensed establishments to a 9:00 am start, seven days per week. We are giving choice back to Ontarians”.

The move shifts from the previous opening time of 11:00 am.

This decision was announced in the Ontario Government 2019 budget.
