MADISON, WI — The Sportop Midget AA and Bantam AA Queens are both coming home from Wisconsin’s CanAm Challenge Cup with new hardware in tote.
The Bantam AA Queens defeated the St. Louis Lady Blues by a score of 2-1 in the Bronze medal game. Riah Compardo scored the game-winner in the 3rd period while goalie Reese Keating stopped 29 pucks in a game where the Queens were outshot 30-24.
Meanwhile, the Midget AAs faced Sault St. Marie in the Gold medal game after going 4-0 through Friday and Saturday. Alexis Paddington and Brenna Nicol both scored in the 2-1 victory.
The Bantam AA and Midget AA Queens join the Midget A Queens, who took Gold last weekend, in winning medals at the CanAm Challenge Cup.
