Thunder Bay Police Seek help to Identify Robbery Suspect

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the armed robbery of a north side restaurant.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers responded to a reported robbery that had just taken place at the Subway restaurant on 190 Cumberland Street North at about 7:15 pm on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019.

TBPS say that a male suspect entered the store brandishing a knife and demanded an employee give him money from the cash register. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a male standing 5’6” tall with a wide build. At the time of the robbery, the suspect wore dark shoes, grey jogging pants, a black jacket with dark grey sleeves, a black balaclava, dark gloves, a black cap and possibly a black hoodie pulled up over the cap.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
