Tim Hortons is going to put coffee in your pocket

THUNDER BAY – Solid coffee? No not a frozen double-double from Tim Hortons that you left in your vehicle for too long, but a new coffee bar from Tim’s that the company hopes will add to your coffee enjoyment.

Need a coffee fix while you’re on the go? No problem! Soon, you’ll be able to put your coffee in your pocket with Tim Hortons new Double Double™ Coffee Bar. The bar will debut in the fall of 2019.

Made with Tim Hortons coffee beans, the Double Double™ Coffee Bar is similar in size to a chocolate bar, has a smooth and silky texture with an espresso bean finish, but contains no actual chocolate. The coffee bar contains caffeine and is great for both coffee and non-coffee drinkers alike.

“Across Canada, we’re known for our signature coffee. Following the successful launch of our Double Double™ Timbit® earlier this year, we wanted to create another edible treat that satisfies Canadians’ Timmies coffee cravings,” said Alex Macedo, President of Tim Hortons. “With Canadians increasingly finding themselves on-the-go, we developed this innovative treat so they can easily take their Double Double™ with them.”

Canadians still love to drink their coffee, so Tim Hortons is also rolling out new retail coffee beverage products:

  • Instant coffee: Ready to drink anywhere, Tim Hortons new rich, smooth and delicious instant coffee is made with Tim Hortons own blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans that deliver a well-balanced, crisp flavour and smooth finish. Flavours include Medium, Decaf and Light Roast.
  • Iced Coffee: Ready-to-drink editions of Tim Hortons refreshing, premium blend iced coffees available in the Double Double™ and Regular flavours.
  • Iced Capps: An exciting relaunch of three of Canada’s favourite cool and creamy ready-to-drink Iced Capp® flavours, including Original, Vanilla and Mocha.

Tim Hortons instant coffee will begin rolling out at participating retail stores in February with ready-to-drink iced coffee and Iced Capps available beginning in March. Guests will be able to enjoy the new Tim Hortons Double Double™ Coffee Bar in fall 2019.
