Kenora OPP Make Arrest in Arson

OPP have laid a number of charges in a stolen vehicle investigation

KENORA – NEWS – On January 6, 2019, at approximately 4:05 p.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Kenora were advised of an outbuilding on fire at a residence on Highway 596.

The OPP along with the Pellatt Fire Department attended a short time later and were able to extinguish the fire.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old male identified as Mitchell WICKMAN of Kenora was arrested and charged with Arson-Damage to Property, contrary to section 434 of the Criminal Code.

The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing at the Kenora Courthouse January 7, 2019.
