THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Police Service continues to investigate a sudden death that occurred over the weekend in Chapples Park.

Officers were dispatched to the southern portion of the park just after 11:30 am on Sunday, December 9th after a passerby saw what they believed might be a body.

The body was sent to Toronto where a post-mortem is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, December 12th. More information is expected to be known following that post-mortem examination.

Police are continuing to hold the scene at Chapples Park.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area prior to Sunday morning to contact police at 684-1200, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at www.p3tips.com.
