Thirty-Year-Old Male from Ottawa In Custody Facing Charges

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – Thunder Bay Police received several calls for a disturbance outside a residence in the 200 block of Sequoia Drive just after 8:30 p.m. on September 25, 2108.

When patrol officers arrived they spoke to a female who reported that she had attended the residence to pick up another female from the residence. When the female got into the vehicle, a male from the residence approached the car and smashed the driver’s side window and dragged the passenger female back into the residence.

Police breached the door in order to check on the welfare of the female. They located a male hiding in an upstairs bedroom. He was uncooperative with officers and was eventually taken into custody.

Officers located the female unharmed in the basement of the dwelling.

A 30-year-old male from Ottawa, Ontario was escorted to the Balmoral Police Station and was charged with:

  • Assault x2
  • Uttering Threats
  • Mischief Under $5000
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Breach of Recognizance

The suspect remains in custody will appear in court this morning.
